Tips For Brides
And the best dressed award goes to…. well how could we choose just one! This red carpet season kicked off in spectacular fashion with Lady Gaga’s blue Valentina Ball gown with hair to match! Today we’re looking back at this spectacular awards season to predict the Bridal Fashion trends sure to follow suit.
Trend: Metallics & Sparkle
Who needs spotlights when you have sequins, crystal beads and metallics galore lighting up the red carpet. This trend continued across the award season. We particularly loved Michelle Yeoh’s glamorous Elie Saab Haute Couture metallic embellished ballgown with the off the shoulder deep v bodice and natural waist leading into the cascading design on the skirt.

Trend: Soft & Romantic Tulle
Celebrities embraced their inner princesses all over the red carpet – this is DEFINITELY a trend we expect to translate directly into the bridal world. Ethereal romance at it’s finest! There were so many to choose from, we could hardly narrow down our favorites!
Pictured: Kiki Layne in blush pink tulle by Christian Dior | Constance Wu chose tulle for both the Oscars and the Golden Globes – in yellow Versace at the Academy Awards and nude Vera Wang at the Golden Globes | Emmy Rossum in Monique L’Huillier | Marina de Tavira in J. Mendel
Trend: Asymmetrical Necklines and One-Shoulder Gowns
We love this trend because so much because it provides such “wow” impact upon arrival. Angela Bassett stunned the Academy Awards in her bright pink one shoulder trumpet gown by our own Reem Acra! And Princess Kate… I mean Duchess Catherine… we could just walk straight down the aisle in her romantic one-shoulder white Alexander McQueen gown at the BAFTA awards this year!

Trend: Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles
Ruffles were everywhere on the red carpet this season from Gemma Chan’s high collar on her Versace gown to skirts, sleeves, trains… you name it! This is a trend we’ll be keeping an eye on as the new bridal fashion season approaches! What do you think? Will the full ruffled shoulders make an appearance this season?

And our Fashion Award goes to… well it was a tie – we just couldn’t choose between Lady Gaga’s incredible blue Valentina from the Golden Globes and Regina King’s look at the Academy Awards! She looks positively radiant in her white Oscar de la Renta column gown with the side slit and gorgeous draped bodice and skirt. We loved it!
